Chandler McNulty LLP obtains $30 million FedEx Freight truck accident verdict

Chandler McNulty LLP obtained a $30 million verdict against FedEx in a case where one of the company’s freight trucks was involved in a head-on collision, killing an innocent motorist. The FedEx driver was speeding in the rain at night when he veered into oncoming traffic to avoid an obstacle in the road, killing Joseph Cargal. The driver testified in court that he received no training from the company about what to do in such dangerous situations. Additionally, the company’s incentive policies encouraged the driver to go above the speed limit.

The victim’s family hopes that these kind of accidents can be avoided in the future via improved training practices.
